Who We Are
Years of success in legal cases, including the $586 million IPO securities case and the $17.5 million Dell Financial consumer fraud case, have not changed Eric Chaffin and Roopal Luhana. These long-time legal partners know first and foremost what is most important: “Doing Good by Doing Right.” That’s not just the company slogan, it’s the way everyone at Chaffin Luhana, from the founding partners to consulting counsel and associates approach their daily tasks. It’s also a key reason the law firm is one of the most respected in the country.
Whether your case is in state or federal court, Chaffin Luhana will treat you with the professionalism and expertise that has earned other clients recoveries that have exceeded $900 million. Their experience includes working with class action and security fraud trials as well as complex whistle blowing actions. This national reputation explains why their opinions and legal analyses are often featured on news reports, including national programs such as “Good Morning America,” the “Today Show” and “ABC World News.”
Mr. Chaffin understands what it is to prosecute security fraud cases, with experience as a federal prosecutor in the Business and Securities Fraud Unit of the New York U.S. Attorney. He is now working with plaintiffs who are seeking recovery from Procter and Gamble and GlaxoSmithKline for zinc poisoning. Ms. Luhana, meanwhile, has much experience defending women’s rights and is currently on the steering committee that’s representing women who suffered injuries while using the Yaz, Yasmin and Ocella birth control devices.
Reema R. Desai has built her own successful firm, ShahDesai, PC, and is currently working as consulting counsel on the Yaz, Yasmin and Ocella oral contraception cases. Ms. Desai excels in general civil issues and has focused on consumers who have been injured by a product and need representation to sue for damages.
Morrisa Falk has experience with both consumer fraud and mass tort cases. Ms Falk has been a valuable part of the team working on the birth control and denture cream cases. Evan Rosenberg, Chaffin Luhana’s other associate, was on both the Moot Court and Dispute Resolution team at Seton Hall University, where he gained valuable experience in national competition. He also has helped as a research assistant on a number of articles published in legal journals.
